Happy 125th Anniversary to The Johns Hopkins Hospital!

May 7, 2014, marks the 125th anniversary of the opening of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our benefactor, Mr. Johns Hopkins, had a vision to unite a hospital and a medical school in a previously unimagined way. He sought to inspire collaboration that would revolutionize medicine through teaching, research and patient care. Together, we all carry out that vision and continue his legacy. Celebrate The Johns Hopkins Hospital's anniversary by sharing your wishes and memories in the comments section below.

Some of my favorite memories are of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine residents getting their annual class picture taken on the front lawn near the Dome. No matter how many times I witness this annual rite, it still makes me pause and reflect on the bright future they started here. Happy Birthday Johns Hopkins Hospital!
