The New York Times recently reported a new e-cigarettelike device that allows users to inhale a boost of caffeine, taking the place of a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon energy drink. But the effects of caffeine when inhaled could differ from caffeine in food or drink, according to Mary Sweeney, a postdoctoral research fellow at the school of medicine.
