IM so amazed by the people that come to hopkins and the commitment Hopkins has to them . some come so far and some so close and the commitment to them is the same . i think that is amazing and oh so great .
I have worked here for more than 20 years, and have been a patient a few times. The quality of care provided by doctors and nurses is amazing. This is evident whether a person is in the old or new areas of the hospitality. I have experienced this first hand, and observed it as well. The genuine interest and concern for the patients, and the bedside manner, OUTSTANDING!!!!
I have been a nurse at Johns Hopkins for 16 years and I received a liver transplant 20 years ago in 1994 at JHH. I have been taken care of by the staff here my entire life. I now have 4 children and a beautiful wife. My oldest son is Jare Maley Burns. He was named after Dr. Warren Maley who was one of the surgeons who took care of me. The care I received and continue to receive is amazing. Thank you Johns Hopkins for your care. I'm proud to be a part of the JHH family!
This place gives sick people hope against hope, that amazes me that people will spend their life fortune to come to this place and no where else for a cure or a diagnosis. The caliber of talent and diversity is pretty striking as well.
I am amazed at the skill, dedication and compassion of the nurses and physicians. I have been a patient here and am a physician here and despite some of the challenges that I know we face on the physician side of the fence, my view from the patient side of the fence has been nothing but beautiful. Thank you.
The vast amount of knowledge that is here in one place
When I walk through the corridors of Johns Hopkins Hospital, I often think how proud and in awe 'Johns Hopkins' would be if he could come back and see how his gift of 2 million dollars as produced one the top leading Health Systems in the world. Absolutely amazing!!!
I don't just have one thing that amazes me, I have a few!!
The first is the size of this place!! It is and can be very overwhelmng, especially for someone that is new to the campus, but everyone is so helpful when i ask about where things are!!
The second is how friendly everyone is around campus, you just don't find that these days!
And last but not least, i am completly and utterly amazed that I work for Johns Hopkins and I am part of the Hopkins Family!! Never in my wildest dreams did I EVER think this would happen to me. I am proud of where i work and I love to tell people when they inquire about my employment. Thank you Hopkins!!
I have been amazed since I walked through the doors 15 years ago. The innovations we introduce are astounding. The rich tradition and history is seen still and is throughout the campus. The caliber of the entire staff is beyond compare. These are a few of the things that just amaze me and I am proud to be a member of the team.
How about the compassion of our care givers and how we take care of patients? That was not one of the choices but the compassion of our physicians and nurses is what amazes me the most... On the floors...
Another thing that amazes me is how as an institution we are successful despite so many " different " directions we sometimes seem to be taking. Somehow the place ends up gelling together and earning the highest trust by so many external measures!
The third thing that amazes me is the sense of belonging that staff and colleagues feel when they join this family! They all do really care about each other. And last but not least is indeed the type of research and the findings that we keep reading about: the array of research and that atmosphere of curiosity and brainy intellectual capacity at hopkins. It has no boundaries.
