I eat a vegetarian diet, sometimes adding a little fish. I'm in the gym 3-4 times a week (noticed a huge difference in the reduction of my knee pain), love walking, and the pool. I also have a 3yr old who helps me with my cardio :). Most of all I try to enjoy life moment by moment taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. Try not to worry too much, and trust God! If only I could find a quick cure for the gravity around my stomach :/.
I'm on the treadmill for 1 hour three times a week and I just incorporated yoga into my weeks aswell.
I have reduced my stress and am following a Low carb diet due to being borderline diabetic, have been doing great with that so far my glucose has been in the 80's now for about 2 months 🙂
I appreciate every moment God gives me and try to give back whenever possible with patient care.
As a soon to become a 63 year old...yikes; I do many of the same things Barry before me does
( yes damn that gravity!!!)
I also take my dog on a 4-5 mile bike ride around 1030pm most evenings, play drums in two bands several times a month, started using a Nutribullet (as do 40% of my staff). I dance to a skewed Zen beat in that I believe "reality is what you create; not what others leave behind."
In no particular order; I also to vaying degrees of intensity and skill: kayaak, Electraglide, fish , sail, hike, write/publish, embrace direct connections, and squeeze every ounce of experience from every moment of life offered to me.
I try to be as vegan as possible as I believe it is the healthiest diet, however, my weakness is some seafood and cheese from time-to-time. I believe a vegan/vegetarian diet is not only good for the body, but also the planet. I try to exercise 5X per week, alternating with aerobics, hand weights and sit ups (the stomach is the bane of my existence and an evil force of gravity). It's great to laugh often and not take things too seriously. I try to enjoy and appreciate friends and family at every possible moment, as well as music, art, film, theater, nature - every minute alive is a gift.
