What is your biggest regret and what are you doing about it?

Life is full of decision making. You choose if and where to go to college, what field you want to enter. You choose if and when to get married, and to who, and where you want to live. Many of the times we are comfortable with our choices, and sometimes we wonder what would have happened if we had made another decision. Have you made a decision that you have regretted? If so, what was that decision and what are you doing about it? Share your response in the comments section below.

Regrets... hands down, not going to college right out of high school. Against my parents wishes, I chose a job which looked enticing at the time, ignoring the benefits and rewards of higher education. Marriage and kids followed, which left little room education. Life however, provides the opportunity to right wrongs, so I decided to go back to school earned associate degrees, and currently working on my Bachelors degree. Achieving that success is best if you have moral support from family and friends. As a parent, I want to be an inspiration for my children so they won't have the same regrets. Is the journey over, never...

Not much - at least, not much that I can do anything about at this time. I do want to continue my novel (I only have 3-1/2 chapters written in a fantasy/fiction involving the forces of good/evil). Also, I guess I wish I had formed more traditions with my kids; they're grown now, and I realize we never formed true holiday traditions (we always went to my mother's house - their grandma - and she passed away years ago - how to replace that?).

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

I always wanted to write a novel. I am currently 11 chapters into a 43 chapter fictional story murder mystery, but I've been at the same place for 2 years. 🙁
