Nurses rock!!!!! You are mighty awesome for all you do ~ and cannot be thanked enough!!!!!!!
I'm not a nurse but I want to thank all of you who are for the brilliant job you do every single day. Each time I've been a patient, it was always the nurses who did such a good job getting everything done properly. They were integral in my recovery and I think nurses should be pulling down the same salaries as the physicians. You all are just as highly trained and effective. Thank you!
Being a nurse is something I am very proud of. On my drive home, I remember each of the patients I touched that day - helping them to the next phase in their plan of care and supporting their loved ones as they go through caregiving strains. I can say, I learn something new nearly every day of my life as a nurse, whether it be more indepth knowledge of a part of the human anatomy, a surgical technique used by one of the surgeons I work for, or helping my patient's navigate our increasingly complex healthcare system. I changed careers in my 30's to become a nurse at 40 and I have never regretted my decision. Nursing will always be something I can hang my hat on, especially when I am older and looking back on my life. I will be able to say that I made a difference.
