Hiking and camping. Even car camping, you never quit moving.
I like a variety, but lately I've been really into kettlebells.
Hiking.
Any kind of dancing!
I walk three miles four days a week, and the other three work out on total gym.
I love tennis and High Intensity Interval Training(HIIT);sprinting and power walking followed by dips and planks....gets the toxins out and leaves me with tremendous energy and a positvie can-do attitude!!
Ballet classes and dance performances help me to remain active. I also utilize strength training classes, core classes, and yoga classes. Additionally I have exercises from my physical therapist.
I workout at the Bayview wellness center every day during my lunch break. I also started attending yoga at Charm City with instructor Sarah Sloane on Wednesday evenings. She is a Child Outpatient therapist here at Bayview! And she is fantastic.
I take the stairs every single time except on rare occasions when I'm loaded down with something bulky. I see very few people taking the stairs with me here at JHH...this includes the stairwells in the parking garages, which are free exercise. I hate the gym but love walking and doing stairs.
Aerial acrobatics, parkour, yoga, & hiking
I am actually going to give a shout out to my husband, Dr. Scott Mittman, an anasthesiologist at Johns Hopkins since 1991. He jogs to Johns Hopkins EVERY DAY, both ways, come rain or shine from our condo in the midtown area to the East Baltimore campus where he works. Since he started in April of 2014 he hardly missed an opportunity (including days that we had ice storms, and snow). I think that this is a fantastic way to stay active while showing the great benefits of living near work. I am a public health expert, and have an idea, why don't we start a movement called "Run with Me" and join Scott?
I like that idea and maybe it could be extended also to biking groups. I walk to work every day because I chose to live close by but I never bike because waiting alone at a traffic light (that's right, I obey signals), I'm likely at some point to have my bike taken from me. Safety in numbers and I'd love to bike with other people like to the supermarket or Fells Point.
I like a variety of exercises but my faves are Yoga, walking, hiking and doing the stairs as much as possible.
Zumba! Also high intensity workouts and running/walking. But Zumba and dancing by far :)!
I love zumba, and spinning - my body craves it!!
Zumba is a great way to have fun and get fit!
Being active with my 3 boys sporting activites.. they are so busy it keeps me busy so im exercising without even thinking about it. I also like jump roping.
My favorites are ballet class and hiking.
I love Zumba and also walking on trails.
Taking the stairs whenever possible!
I love dragon boating to stay fit! The Baltimore Dragon Boat Club paddles a couple of times a week and attends races quite often. It is a great workout.
In order to stay healthy and active I try to stay off computers as much as possible.
Definitely walking/running with dogs!!! :))
