What is Your Institution’s Special Culture?

Today's top search engine, Google, references the company's special culture in their company overview online, highlighting the open quality of weekly all-hands "TGIF" meetings on Fridays and the unique office and cafe designs at Google locations worldwide that are "designed to encourage interactions between Googlers within and across teams."

Within all of Johns Hopkins Medicine, there are bound to be some unique cultural traits to be found. Does everyone gather for lunch together on a regular basis? Is there a designated committee to spread positivity and cheer throughout the department? Are your coworkers recognized publicly for going above and beyond?

Share what you think is special about the culture in your department or institution in today’s Question of the Week.

The diversity committee (within Radiology at least) makes an effort to make sure different cultures are highlighted from time to time (with a small festival) and that everyone is included.

Our team is a great team. We respect each other and provide a assistance for each other at a heart beat when needed. We are a multicultural environment and we love to share each others culinary foods and stories.
