The Atlantic recently published the top coffee-drinking countries around the world, and you might be surprised to learn that the United States doesn’t even fall in the top 10. The Netherlands lead the way with an average 2.4 cups of coffee per day, followed by Finland at 1.8 cups and Sweden at 1.3 cups. The U.S. falls 16th on the list at .93 cups of coffee per day.
What’s your morning beverage of choice? Do you make up part of the U.S. coffee-drinking population or should you consider moving to the Netherlands? Do you take a less-caffeinated route and enjoy juice, a glass of milk, or a warm cup of tea? Share your morning beverage habits here in today’s Question of the Week.

Coffee in motor oil viscosity and strength
Shhhhh! Don't tell Bunny but I got hooked on the hot chocolate in the kitchen in our office. Gotta have a daily dose.
COffee, COffee, COffee.
A tall, cold glass of water first thing out-of-bed. Then, a medium soy latte from The Grind. Best mornings ever.
I drink a cup of hot green tea every morning.
I prefer tea to coffee any day. And it doesn't even matter whether it's black tea, red tea, green tea, or white tea (morning tea can have caffeine, but anything after 2 p.m. has to be decaffeinated). I use Agave syrup or honey instead of sugar (unless I don't have a choice), and milk or cream (or flavored creamers). Variety is the spice of life (I also like chai!)! But I also try to drink a lot (up to a gallon) of water each day as well.
Coffee with creamer and splenda :p
McDonalds Caramel Moccha
Folgers French Roast made at home followed by bottomless Lipton hot teas. Sometimes, I treat myself to a Red Eye or even a Black Eye (coffee + shot of espresso or coffee + 2 shots of espresso, respectively). I love the taste, appearance, smell and effects of caffeinated coffee with a touch of cream. I love everything about hot red tea with no adulterants. Long live the caffeinated beverage!
Hot water to flush my system clean before breakfast.
At work M-F I drink coffee at 1/2 caff or my colleagues wouldn't be able to stand being near me due to the hyperactivity that would ensue if I drank full caff. On the weekends it's full caff - espresso Saturday morning, French press Saturday evening, and the good old Farberware percolator Sunday morning. I prefer dark roast whenever possible with at touch of raw sugar, no cream.
Hot coffee for me and I enjoy it on the strong side.
black coffee during the work week, diet Pepsi on the weekends
Definitely coffee! Actually, decaf! 🙂
Hot tea all day starts with caffeine, then decaf-tea
Hot coffee for me!
Hot Tea for me!
