Top of my bucket list
Oregon - I'm being drawn to the natural wonders of the ocean in Lincoln City, Oregon. Being an avid nature lover it's no surprise that this is on my bucket list
France - sister and family live there so it would be fun
London - sister and friends lives there, would be fun
Florida - there's just something about Florida!
Canada - in-laws live there - should be making that trip this year
Dominica - Isle of Nature, black sand beaches, rivers galore, sun, sun and more sun, a nature lover's destination - my homeland... definitely a must visit
1) Convincingly play something of Chopin at the piano before I die -- which is a tall order since I was a brass player, not a pianist. My dream is the Ballade in G minor, op. 23, but I have zero hope of that. I will happily settle for the Waltz Op. 34, No. 2, and the famous Nocturne Op, 9, No. 2. Students often play those and they should be within my capability over the next five years.
2) Finish my book on golf architecture and the work of C.B. Macdonald. That one will get done. I am 85% complete, including artwork.
3) Attend every event of the Salzburg Music Festival. That one will be prohibitively expensive though, especially since all my kids would want to go. Can't afford a summer in Europe for five.
Go back to the British Isles & Spain. I was there as a child when daddy was active duty. I want to see them as an adult. I'd also like to visit Alaska via cruise ship in the late spring early summer.
Head back to 'Nawlens' as a couple to enjoy the town. Hubby has been before yrs ago and I went in HS- our band marched in Mardi Gras 1977. To hit the Quarter as an adult and with the hubby would be great.
Mine is all traveling 🙂
- Hawaii
- Ireland
- England
for starters.
Hawaii is next on the list for me. Volcanos, whales and beaches.
My wish has always been to go see the Rose Parade in person since that is my birthday. I will be 60 this year, so it seems like the best time!!
Cathy,
I did the Rose parade two years ago. It was terrific! I'd go again in a heartbeat.
Hubby planned the trip and he did a great job. I strongly recommend the official Rose parade tour. You get VIP access to events and seating like no other. I truly felt like a VIP!
Enjoy!
WOW, that sounds like great fun! Not sure I will save enough PENNIES for all that, but I will certainly try. Thanks for the excellent suggestions!
Car tour through Smokies, blues trail of Mississippi, including Morgan Freeman's bar in Clarksdale, and on to New Orleans, the one place I'd prefer to kick the bucket.
I want to travel quite a bit (Panama Canal, Dubai, African Safari, etc.) and some are much more realistic than others. I also want to take my granddaughter to Disney World before she starts school. I also want to finish the book I started over 10 years ago, but then got distracted by "life" and didn't finish it. But what I hope to do with my life, even if I don't get to travel, or finish the book, is be in the place I'm meant to be, doing what I'm meant to do.
Visit Tahiti or Bora Bora and stay in an over-water bungalow.
Make sure he gets love worthy of "until death do us part".
Tops on my bucket list is to cruise to the Mediterranean Sea.
