As a newcomer to Baltimore and living in Hampden, one of my favorite spots is the Golden West Cafe on The Avenue for Mexican breakfast tacos and a Bloody Mary brunch. Working down at Fells Point I've enjoyed a few of these mighty tasty Crab Mac & Cheese hotdogs at Stuggys.

Clementine's on Harford Road - best mac and cheese. Mussels are great too. Get there early they usually fill up quick. I love the fact that they have a section just for the children to play with the toys. Very family friendly atmosphere.

There are soo many!

For pizza, Joe Squared at Station North. All of their pizzas are delicious and unique, the drinks are good and the music is too.
For outdoor dining that's a bit more date-like: the Wine Market on Fort Ave
For really good Ethnic/exotic: The Helmand on Charles St. It's Afghani food. Yes, it's hard to believe that anything other than warring rebels comes from there, but it does. Go. Try it- your tastebuds will thank you.

Fazzini's Restaurant on Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville, MD has great Italian food; the portions are large enough to take half of it home! It's BYOB and the lasagna is my favorite. It's not a fancy place but the service is excellent. They do take reservations although not required.

While I don't get to go there as often as I would like, the Food Market in Hampden is amazing. Their buffalo pickles and beer and cheese pretzels are so good!

I heard they keep the floor above the resturant vacant to preserve the atmosphere of true spanish resturants.

Alicia, I am going to have to try out Mission BBQ. I have actually heard several things about it. We usually go to Andy Nelson's in the Hunt Valley area, but are always looking for something new!

The Shark i West O.C. is fantastic.

The owner uses local and many organic ingredients! Always daily lunch specials PLUS the view (restaurant is on 2nd story) right on the water cannot be beat!

Laura, How ironic! I used to work with one of the owners of the Shark (Jody) when I lived on the Eastern Shore. Not only is the food delicious, but they are just all around amazing people as well. - Lorilei
