I don't remember but I was most likely a nervous wreck.

Yes. The stupid guy ate his terrible pizza with a plastic fork and knife so I felt like I should, too. My fork broke and I was like, "Forget this!"

On a VERY early group date with my now-husband, I said, "I want to marry Chandler Bing!" (a character from the TV show "Friends"). A few hours later we were all talking about "Friends" again and my husband said his friends dubbed him Chandler because he's so like the character. I was terrified that he'd be scared off by what I'd said early. Turns out dreams do come true!

I was a sophmore at Dunbar High School and a very determined junior by the name of Tim Rice sat beside me in Spanish class. He copied my phone number from the emergency card and called my mom and asked her if he could take me out on a date. My mom was impressed that he called to ask her if I could go out with him and agreed(even though she said I had to be 16). The strange part of this story is I had no idea he asked her and she agreed. He told me in class the next day and I freaked and my mom thought it was cute. She convinced me to go and he and I are still friends almost 30 years later. I call him my forever friend.

The first date with my husband of 35 years was a disaster. We were going on a double date with another couple to the drive in and his car broke down before we even got out of the city. Had to walk back to his house (quite a hike) and then my friend and I waited while he and his buddy set out to get the car fixed. We waited and waited and finally both went home. Then about 3:00am he shows up at my house in the car wanting to see me. This was before cell phones and that waiting was killing me because I didn't know if he changed his mind or was really working on the car that long. Turns out they were working on the car all that time (he was determined he was going to fix it)and he said he had to see me to let me know what happened before the night was over. Needless to say we made a second date and have been together total of 40 years now.

Your story is so similar to mine, that I had to read it a couple of times to make sure someone hadn't posted my story for me! LOL

Royal blue scoop neck wool dress with a sparkle belt and my first pair of black 1" heels. My first dance in 7th grade with a boy that had this bright red hair and freckles. I thought he was adorable. No one told me that they put resin on the floor. We walked in and I proceeded to fall on the slippery floor and he saw my garter belt with the little pink bow. I was so embarrassed I ran to to restroom and cried. We remained friends for years and as adults we always laughed about that. It was a first date for both of us.

My first date was with Bob who 3 years later became my husband. We went to the carnival and it was mesmerizing, we had cotton candy, and walked the grounds of this country carnival. We both wore shorts, sandals and short sleeve tops. We were married for almost 20 years.

My first date with James was scary and memorable. He had on a gray v neck shirt with gray jeans and white hightop converses. I had on a flowered top with a blue jean skirt.
We walked to Clifton Park pool. It's getting dark, the pool is closed and barely anyone around. Scary, right 🙂 He held my hands and sang, "Moody's Mood For Love" to me. I was mesmerized with his sweetness from that day throughout our marriage, until the Lord called him home.
