The 80's just rocked!!!... I remember getting a Michael Jackson belt with spikes that went around twice on my mini skirt... Rock on chica! Let's just say Thank God the shoulder pads are gone. My older sister bought me my first pair of platform shoes at the age of 8 for my First Communion. There was what we called Peddle pushers aka Capris... those were the days... fun times

I liked the tent dresses, the empire dresses and the pleated skirts and bobby socks and the black and white saddle shoes with short sweat socks. I loved seeing the guys wearing prep shirts and dress pants on the daily, those were the good on day in the 1960's. That is how we went to school dressed like we were going on a job interview. I miss seeing young people dressing that well in school!

Hip-huggers and platform shoes.

I liked the Culture Club style from the mid-eighties. Loved the oversized shirts and jackets, colorful tights with leg warmers and beads for accessories.

As far as I am concerned, nothing beats the cut-off jeans and sleeveless "shells" for being comfortable. I was wearing this in 1967, and continue to today, much to my grandchildren's dismay. They always ask, "Did you cut those jeans off, yourself?" The answer is, "Yes, years ago." I like the soft fringe at the bottom from washing them so many times.

Remember when acid washed jeans first came out? How about those big oversized v-neck sweaters with the stripes? Very popular!

Who can ever forget acid wash jeans... and then there was the United Colors of Benneton... love those for summer

I think my favorite fashion for myself was the days of maxi dresses because they made women look extra feminine and left lots to the imagination (as it should be) yet most of all it was the days when I dressed my daughter in can-can dresses with the slips that made the dresses full and set out. And I had to top it off with the socks with the lace around the top and the matching barettes for the hair. Those were the days of little girls looking like LITTLE GIRLS.
