Outside- All games! Anything to be able to stay outside!

Inside- We played school on the inside steps, there were many steps so you had a lot of grades to go thru and get the answers to hard questions correctly. Oldest Sister would be the teacher. Learned a lot from the older girls- there were 10 of us! But my favorite was paper dolls, cutting them out of the McCall magazine along with there clothes and also creating your new clothes.

My sister and I loved KNex, the snap-together engineering toy. We would create all sorts of large contraptions in our home's living area - good thing our parents let us take over!

My favorite indoor game was Spirograph (piece of cardboard, covered with paper, and pieces pinned to that with small tacks/pins - there were gear-like wheels which fitted into the teeth of the pieces pinned to the cardboard, and when you "spun" the gears around the pieces it drew patterns and designs) - I still have mine and hope to pass it to my granddaughter one day.

My favorite outdoor game was ghost in the garden (one person was the mother/father, who sent the "children" to the "cellar" to wash for dinner; you had to pass through a "garden" where you were confronted with a ghost - if you got caught by the ghost, you were the ghost the next time, and the ghost was promoted to the parent) lots of running & screaming, Great fun!

My younger brother and I always played the game "Operation"! He always beat me the majority of the time because he had such a steady hand and rarely touched the sides causing the patient's nose to light up. LOL! 🙂

Monopoly was one of my favorite games. It was always a race between my brother and I to see who could buy up all the hotels and put the most houses on them first. My family still plays this game when we go on family vacations together.

Trivial Pursuit- I felt was a very knowledgeable game because even when you did not know the answer it was an opportunity to learn something and there were many editions such as; young edition, sports, silver screen just to name a few.
