Throwback Thursday: What Are Your Favorite Video Games From the Past?

VideoGamesI Am Dolphin, an immersive video game created by a team from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology, is slated for release on iTunes this month. In this game, users experience realistic simulations of sea creatures that can be controlled by swipes of a player’s hand across a touch screen. You can view the team talking about their creation in this video.

Video games have come so far from the days of Atari or Sega, to become not just a tool for entertainment, but for learning as well. What video games from the past remind you of your childhood? Were you able to beat any classic titles? Tell us your classic video game stories in today's Throwback Thursday.

There were no video games when I was a kid. In our neighborhood we played 1- dodge ball, 2- hide and go seek, 3- the girls jumped robe, 4- the girls & boys played jacks and of course 5- we all spinned the bottle

My favorite was Pac Man. Even now if I come across a Pac Man game I usually have to stop and play.

I still have an Intellivision game. The baseball and football games are still the best. In an arcade, Mrs. Packman still raises my blood pressure!

Pac-Man and Galaga. Sometimes you can still find these two in arcades.

My favorite throwback video game was called Burgertime, from back in the 80's your player would try to build burgers to score points being chased by condiments and veggies that you would bait them to a ledge and make them drop. It had about 10 different levels that got faster and faster, I stayed up all night a many times trying to beat the highest score.LOL!
