As Halloween draws near, we're reminded of all that is spooky and supernatural. While some of it may seem a little silly now, as a child you may have done things like avoiding the cracks in the sidewalk or agonized over cracking a mirror for fear of what would come next. Maybe you were scared of the dark, or terrified of clowns. Don't be afraid....share what types of superstitions or fears you lived with growing up in today's Throwback Thursday.

That the world was going to end on December 31, 1999
That bats would lay eggs in your hair and you would go crazy. I remember a very old aunt who told anyone pregnant to keep moving because the baby would grow to the lining of the stomach. Had one person believing and she would to to the attic, throw out a ball, walk down 4 flights, pick it up and go back to the attic. She did this over and over. YIKES
My Grandmother lived next to a church cemetery. When we were kids, to get us to come in at dusk, she would tell us the dead people were going to get us. I grew up fearing zombie like creatures and the dark. As an adult, I will not watch/read anything with zombies and there are times I am still scared of the dark. Oddly enough, dead people do not bother me.

We couldn't open an umbrella in the house and anything electric had to be turned off during a thunder storm.
