The all time most memorable game show was Queen For A Day . Typically , housewives (it was the '50's) would vie for household items such as refrigerators or washing machines by demonstrating they were the neediest among the contestants that day.

I loved Jeopardy even though that came later. I remember Wheel of Fortune as time spent wathching with my mother.
I still love the Price is Right! The contestants and their reactions are hysterical.
I remember the Dating Game, and the Gong Show. Before American Idol and all the rest, the Gong Show is where I remembered cheering for new (wierd) talent.

Telling my age a little here but, I had two I use to watch every afternoon school Match game and a close second was Hollywood Squares. I guess it was because we were so poor and they were both games where celebrities played with the everyday people and showed they were just like us. Most of all they were funny and I love to laugh.
