They did not have video games when I was a kid....We played out side from sun up to sun down......and during school year...we stayed in and did home work....no TV until homework done and then only until 9:00 pm....then to bed we went....no TV in our rooms....only one TV for the entire house
Galaga was MY game!
NONE - I was born in the days where we played outside all day. Rode our bikes, played dodge ball, skipped rope, built forts etc. But the 1st game I played as a young adult was PONG.
My favorite games were PacMan, Donkey-Kong, Mario Bros.
I played video games and played outside. My favorite games were Legend of Zelda and Paperboy.
None. we rode bikes.
I'm 62 so there were no video games in my childhood. I was 20-something when they came out. My favorites were Pong, Asteroids, & Pac Man.
I loved to play mortal kombat taking turns calling winners against my brothers. Figuring out how to perform combos and fatalities was the best and we even had to head to the library in order to print out pages full of combos and codes. Of course Sonic the Hedgehog series 1~3 was the greatest game we loved to play. Getting through the special stages, obtaining the chaos emeralds and then transforming into Super Sonic oh those were the best of our prime years.
PAC-MAN
Etch A Sketch
I liked Etch A Sketch too! You "rebooted" it by holding it upside down & shaking it.
There are a few of us left around! I played outside, rode my horse, helped put up hay, gathered eggs, weeded the garden, milked cows, hiked in the woods, waded in the stream, gathered tadpoles, collected butterflies, went sled riding, almost threw my dad off a trailer trying to learn to let the clutch out on the tractor, shot pool in the basement, once I got to college I played pinball machines in the student center, that was before video games, didn't need 'em!
Amazing....There were no video games when I was a kid and we just had to go play, and guess what, use our imaginations to come up with games. Even if it was a board game, you were still doing it with a group of friends and having fun in the meantime.
Mario brothers on the original nintendo system that was the size of a VCR.
The Legend of Zelda.....NERD!!!!!
So of my favorites were : Super Mario on the Nintendo Console. And Sonic The Hedgehog
At the arcade, it was probably Ms PAC MAN and Frogger. On my brother's subsequent Nintendo system, I have to say I enjoyed playing Super Mario Brothers and Gauntlet. Favorite childhood game for me? Dungeons & Dragons! A painting on the front of the module and an active imagination went a very long way.
Galaga!!!!!!!!
Ms. Pac Man and Centipede. Good times!
Me too, I loved Centipede.....Absolutely Good Times!!
Playing hide-n-seek outside. Electricity hadn't yet been invented.
Me too...when I wasn't reading a book! LOL!!!
Asteroids!
I didn't have any video games as a teenager. I watched tv for electronic entertainment, but was more often found reading a book (and what wonderful adventures I had traveling around the world through the miracle of the written word).
Qix
BAM! Nice choice.
Well, first - way back in the day - the infamous PONG! But after that, Frogger & PacMan.
Pac-man and Space Invaders
There weren't any video games when i was a kid. I guiess I'm too old. We played board games - Monopoly, Trouble, Parcheesi (one of my favorites), Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land (you name it we played it) plus I was a tomboy and loved my army men and especially my erector set. We had a family game night every week. Also, my Mom taught me how to play card games and we played gin rummy all the time. I couldn't even tell you how to play a video game. When I bought Nintendo for my kids, I couldn't even play Mario Bros but it only took them a couple days to figure out the short cuts and catch the princess.
How about there were no video games when I grew up.
Pac Man - I could never play the games today. You would go into a bar and a table for two had the pac man game in it.
I actually had 2 favorites. Tetras and Ms. Pacman
Anybody remember Q-Bert?
Pac-Man was and still is my favorite
Two actually.....and this is really a throwback....Space Invaders and Ms. PacMan!
Mortal Konbat was a must in my playing days also Zelda was another fav!!!
DRAGON'S LAIR
Sky Raider (an Atari game). It was in one of the arcades on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. I could always get the highest score of the day!
Frogger!
