I don't really have any good memories of high school. I didn't have any friends, and was picked on and bullied most of the years. I guess the only thing that stands out is the guy who had the courage to resist the peer pressure & become my boyfriend for a few short months (we went to prom together & then never dated again).

First year of high school at Patterson (10th grade in 1973), we had a teacher strike, a student walk out (protest), and only had 1/2 day school as it was. Felt like I was never at school that year,
That spoiled me though and the next two years were a little rough on me having to get in there everyday. But I made it and the best day was when I graduated in 1976!

The time David Haines, who had the strongest arm I've ever witnessed, took an apple from about the distance of second base to home plate and threw it past the library door and into the solid wall at the far end, causing it to explode like the Big Bang. He got caught.

Oh my, there are so many it's hard to pick a favorite. I guess all of the most memorable involve goofing off with my best friend. We sure did some stupid stuff! (ie, wearing shoe boxes instead of shoes to school). At least we didn't get in trouble with shoe boxes like we did when we wore roller skates. hahaha.
OH! But another favorite was when I got to do the morning announcements and I made up a bunch of stories - the one that got me into trouble was announcing that the teachers would be having a break dance competition in the lobby at noon (at a time when break dancing was banned). All good times for sure........... 🙂
