im new to maryland who has the best crab cakes?
Welcome to Maryland, Yohanna! My favorite place to get a crab cake is Pappas Restaurant on Taylor Ave. in Parkville, MD. They are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! Yum!
I really like the crab cakes at G&M (Linthicum) - you may want to order take-out, though. During peak times there can be as much as a 2-hour wait time for a table. I also appreciate they will sell the "raw" mix (the crab meat is cooked, obviously, but it's mixed with egg & cream & other ingredients & then baked to a golden brown - I take home the unbaked mix & bake it myself as part of an entire meal for family & friends). The crab cake platter contains two crab cakes & they are usually so big that I can barely eat one, so if I bring home the "raw" mix, I end up making at least 3 crab cakes out of what was intended to be two.
Mmmmm. Now I think I'll get these for dinner tonight!
Although crabs are top; crab cakes are a year round delight!
I agree whole heartedly with the trio of crabcakes/tomatoes and silver queen corn!!! Summer heaven!
Crab cakes, corn AND tomatoes - the perfect summer Maryland picnic/cookout! And follow-up with fresh fruit (especially watermelon or berries) for dessert - IF there's still room in your stomach for other food.
CRAB CAKES WITH LUMP CRAB MEAT, AWESOME!
OLD BAY SEASONING ( I PUT IT ON EVERYTHING)
otterbein sugar and lemon cookies, G & M crab cakes.
It's not summer in Maryland until you have had some Maryland Blue Crabs with Maryland Old Bay Seasoning. And if you wait until summer is over and did not have any then you have missed out on what Maryland is known for and boy are our crabs so gooood!
My nephew is in the service. Always wants me to send him UTZ potato chips!
Lump crab cakes - especially from Koco's Pub on Harford Road
Maryland tomatoes
